Despite the fact there is no housing the WWU region its presence has an affect on all neighborhoods in Bellingham.

Western knows the value of connecting students to the community through a variety of programs. Recent findings have found that 7,647 students have contributed a total of 872,170 hours of service to the community.

Western is ranked among the top public regional universities in the West and nation wide by U.S. News & World Report. WWU has also been named among the 100 most wired universities in the country by Yahoo.
