Throughout my life, I have been interested in architecture. When I graduated from college, I bought my first home--a 200 year home in need of a complete renovation. Since then, I continue to build or remodel homes. I tend to really enjoy homes with character--old or new, makes no difference. I built a home in Wisconsin that was passive solar and "super insulated". Great home in an oak woods. Beautiful cherry trim throughout, including an open plank stairway. In Maryland, I owned a home built the last year of the civil war--1865. 100+ feet long, a brick patio nearly the entire length of the house, true carriage house with quarters above, 2 foot thick stone walls with window seats, wide plank floors. Currently, I am restoring a 100 year old home on South Hill in Bellingham. Pretty home. Federal style. Total restoration. It will be great when it is done.

Prior to actually working in real estate (as opposed to buying and selling my own homes), I produced children's television and software, designed websites, wrote marketing and informational materials for various industries.

I have a 20 year old daughter who is entering her third year in college. She is studying global resources. This year, she will be at the University of Copenhagen. The International Global Warming conference will be in Copenhagen in November. She hopes to participate in some way--perhaps as a page. Like my daughter, many 20 year olds view the world as their neighborhood. They flit around the globe the way I used to drive to another state.
