Here's great news! As seen in the graph for July and August of 2011, home sales were up over the same time last year for Whatcom County. Furthermore, according the the Bellingham Herald, homes sales from July through September were up 17.8%. The home selling strength had been in Bellingham in the past few years. But this summer, home sales have shifted to the county, especially Ferndale and Lynden. This "surge" in home sales is due in large part to the sale of new homes in Lynden and Ferndale where they are selling for around $300,000.

 

This is news worth celebrating.
