Home Sale Prices in Whatcom County

The graph shows the median price for homes sold in Whatcom County from 1982 to 2009. Notice that even though home sales started to decline in 2004-2005, prices peaked in 2007. Prices have been in decline ever since. There is some signs that prices are leveling off.
 
Perhaps the next time we see such a steep rise in prices as we did from 2003 to 2006, we will know that it can't be sustained, that we are headed for a collapse. Canada and other countries are intervening to avoid such a "bubble".
