Another spectacular hike in the Cascades. Beautiful day--when we arrived at the trail head, the sky was clear blue. Perfect hiking day: no bugs, cool breazes. This is a difficult and long hike--lots of "UP". But what spectacular payoffs.
The picture shows where we stopped for lunch--across a valley from Shuksan. I estimate we are a half mile away from the glaciers in the picture. Huge water falls from all the glaciers--some hundreds of feet high. This may be the most impressive view of Shuksan from any trail.
Oh, and the huckleberries were wonderful.
